Daaem for Engineering Consultancy took part in the IREX 2025 Forum in Damascus, an event that brought together leading experts and investors from inside and outside Syria to discuss the future of reconstruction and the development of the country’s building environment. The company was represented by Eng. Dr. Amer Al-Muradni, who delivered a series of key messages and directions regarding the future of the engineering sector and Daaem’s role in the coming phase.
During his address, Eng. Dr. Amer Al-Maradni announced the launch of the Syrian Building Code, scheduled to coincide with Liberation Day on 8 December 2025. He explained that the code was developed through collaboration between the Engineers Syndicate and a specialized consulting team, with the aim of promoting modern construction culture, advancing the use of technology, attracting leading companies to the Syrian market, and leveraging the capabilities of Syrian engineering talents both at home and abroad. He emphasized that this milestone represents a pivotal step in regulating the construction sector and elevating standards of quality and structural safety.
He also highlighted the importance of seriously considering cost and quality by adopting Syrian standards and national codes, ensuring the highest levels of quality and structural safety. He stressed the need to give true value to time by streamlining regulatory procedures and issuing supportive legislation that encourages the return of Syrian expertise from abroad to contribute their knowledge to reconstruction projects.
Furthermore, he addressed the need to accelerate digital transformation within the engineering sector through the adoption of BIM models and digital solutions, and by strengthening integration across design, execution, and supervision phases—tools that enhance project efficiency and reduce time, effort, and cost.
Daaem’s participation in this event aligns with its vision to advance the engineering work environment in Syria, build strategic partnerships that support sector sustainability and development, and contribute to establishing a solid foundation for the reconstruction phase through solutions that combine expertise, innovation, and sound professional planning.
